DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM:
The NIMCIS Programme provides a new communications system to the Netherlands Marines and enables digitization. The NIMCIS Team of engineers and subcontractors are developing modern wired and wireless networking approaches, battle management applications, and system management techniques using a variety of technologies.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall responsibilities for ensuring RM&T Programme activities meet both schedule and cost baselines
- Preparation and control of top-level RM&T Programme Plans, and flow-down of requirements
- Preparation and control of the R&M Case and associated Case Reports
- Primary interface between Customer/Authority and all DS2 subcontractor RM&T personnel
- Chairman of the RM&T Working Group
- Control of all subcontractors on RM&T issues (audits, surveillance, plans, issues and risks)
- Responsible for ensuring timely and efficient closure of RM&T Programme issues
- Presentation of Program RM&T issues and mitigations to Senior Management and Program IPT members
- RM&T Contract negotiations with Subcontractors and Authority
- Providing technical and administrative guidance to RM&T Engineering, Modeling and DRACAS staff
- Interdisciplinary interface with other company departments
- Cost and Schedule provision for new programmes
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL
- Technical Degree in Electronics or related discipline
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of DEF STANS 00-13, 00-40, 00-60, 05-95 and equivalent Military Standards and Handbooks
- Minimum 10 years experience in senior RM&T positions with major Defence contractors
- Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently on own initiative as well as within a ‘team’ environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex and rapidly changing environment
- Flexible working habits, with the ability to travel both within Europe and North America
- Thorough working knowledge of modern IT working practices and R&M prediction software packages
