The primary function of the Business Analyst is to analyze business processes and changes to those processes that enable the business to function more effectively, working closely with business subject matter experts to model the current and future state business processes. The Business Analyst is the primary liaison between the business and the IS Application Development group. This position works to define all functional elements of a business system in a way that can be fully confirmed by the Subject Matter Experts of the business, and with sufficient detail so that software designers and developers can create the technology tools needed. The Business Analyst, in collaboration with designers and developers, also defines how the solution will be implemented. Will work with the developers to provide application documentation and, when appropriate, application training materials. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor`s degree in business, information systems, or related field; 3-5 years related business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will have telecommunications business understanding, interest, and perspective; general understanding of a wide variety of technologies that can be used to solve business problems; demonstrated customer service orientation, problem solving skills, and oral and written communication skills.
