An opportunity to become part of a small, yet fast growing, division of Siemens. Siemens Solution 1 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Communications, focused on providing managed IT services for small to medium sized organisations (SMEs). Solution 1 enables SMEs to receive the benefits of IT services used by large organisations at an affordable price. Due to rapid growth Siemens are seeking to expand on their success. The division has the feel of a start-up yet the backing of a Blue chip. It is young aspirational and is supported by a high profile management team.
Primary Responsibilities: To develop, manage and build a combination of direct and channel business for Siemens Solution 1 services in the UK; achieve revenue growth objectives for the region by a combination of direct selling as well as recruiting, managing and motivating channel partners to sell and support Siemens Solution 1 services. Also to be involved in the planning, development and execution of business plans to achieve pre-determined goals.
Qualifications: Previous experience of direct selling as well as software reseller partner management in the UK, ideally volume and VAR channels. Proven track record of revenue growth and over-achievement. Hands-on, team player. Strategic thinker - creative ideas person. Understanding of IT software industry specifically IPVPNs, IT Security, ideally knowledgeable in the mobile industry especially with regards to and Blackberry. Degree holder is essential, preferably 2:1 or above. Willingness and ability to travel. |

Headquartered in Milton Keynes, we employ over 2000 people in the UK and are now looking for a Assistant Divisional Accountant to join our team.
Department
The role has arisen to help support the Sales Management Accountant in the reporting of Total Sales Division results and the calculation of revenue recognition for large contracts. The role will be based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates studying ACCA or CIMA.
Responsibilities
The main purpose of the role is to provide financial planning and reporting assistance to the Sales Division. Specifically this includes P&L analysis, forecasting, budgeting, product analysis, balance sheet analysis and forecasting, statistical and trend analysis and cost controls. Partnering a designated area and providing support to a number of Commercial Managers, you will be responsible for the following:
•To provide timely, accurate and relevant management information on costs and headcount.
•To provide guidance and assistance to the Commercial Managers on issues arising from actual, budget and forecast data, liaising with staff at all levels.
•Preparation of monthly financial reports in accordance with the financial timetable
•Provide ad-hoc financial reporting as agreed with the Sales Management Accountant
Experience and Skills
Previous experience of working in a finance environment is essential, and the ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum level of AAT. Previous experience of working with the SAP system would be advantageous, as would knowledge of PowerPoint. Strong Excel skills are required. You will need to be self motivated, process driven and able to develop strong relationships with people inside and outside of the finance departments. |
