Qualifications: Previous experience of direct selling as well as software reseller partner management in the UK, ideally volume and VAR channels. Proven track record of revenue growth and over-achievement. Hands-on, team player. Strategic thinker - creative ideas person. Understanding of IT software industry specifically IPVPNs, IT Security, ideally knowledgeable in the mobile industry especially with regards to and Blackberry. Degree holder is essential, preferably 2:1 or above. Willingness and ability to travel.

Department

The role has arisen to help support the Sales Management Accountant in the reporting of Total Sales Division results and the calculation of revenue recognition for large contracts. The role will be based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates studying ACCA or CIMA.

Responsibilities

The main purpose of the role is to provide financial planning and reporting assistance to the Sales Division. Specifically this includes P&L analysis, forecasting, budgeting, product analysis, balance sheet analysis and forecasting, statistical and trend analysis and cost controls. Partnering a designated area and providing support to a number of Commercial Managers, you will be responsible for the following:
•To provide timely, accurate and relevant management information on costs and headcount.
•To provide guidance and assistance to the Commercial Managers on issues arising from actual, budget and forecast data, liaising with staff at all levels.
•Preparation of monthly financial reports in accordance with the financial timetable
•Provide ad-hoc financial reporting as agreed with the Sales Management Accountant


Experience and Skills

Previous experience of working in a finance environment is essential, and the ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum level of AAT. Previous experience of working with the SAP system would be advantageous, as would knowledge of PowerPoint. Strong Excel skills are required. You will need to be self motivated, process driven and able to develop strong relationships with people inside and outside of the finance departments.
