Alcatel IMR (Intelligent Mobile Redirect or Hybriphone or BT Bluephone) solution Integration testing:
Hybriphone is a Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solution. Hybriphone employs dual radio handsets (e.g.: GSM and Bluetooth) that allow a user to make and receive calls using either the mobile infrastructure or the fixed infrastructure using only one phone number and requiring only one handset. If the mobile handset is in range of an access point, calls are routed over the fixed network, where the fixed network can be the PSTN or a pure VoIP network; otherwise, they are routed over the mobile network.
My Role:
• To integrate the end-to-end solution of Hybriphone for both PSTN and SIP solutions.
• To prepare the test list for PSTN and SIP solutions with Enterprise and Residential architecture.
• To lead the Hybriphone integration testing team.
• To support Customer trials (Ex: Auna-Spain, Freenet-Germany, SBC-US, Arcor-Germany, Cegetel-France).

Universal 4 Wire (U4W) Legacy Card Feature testing:
Objective of the project:
To implement the U4W functionality for an Alcatel Next Generation DLC. The U4W Remote Terminal(RT) and Central Office Terminal(COT) line units provide two analog subscribers interface circuits per card, converting the analog voice signals into digital DS0 level signals for transmission in the DLC systems.
My Role:
To promote design for testability, provide early fault detection for the development team, especially in the areas of integration and interfaces, and to assist in the characterization of the software’s quality and performance at any point in time during the development process. Involvement in project begins in the ‘software development design’ phase and continues through the ‘software development complete’ phase of the product development life cycle.

Responsibilities:
SS7 Testing (MTP Level 3 Testing):
Objective of the project:
To consider the Alcatel switch as a node of SS7 network and to test the sequences given in the Feature Requirement Specification (FRS) provided by the Alcatel. As per the test cases we have to consider the Alcatel switch as a Signal Transfer Point (STP) on an artificial network configured with the help of INET protocol analyzer.
My role:
To test the MTP level 3 layer of SS7 network. We have to configure an SS7 network by considering several network elements with the Alcatel switch as an System Under Test (SUT).While testing we have to consider the SUT as an black box.Both traffic and route management messages are tested by the sequences given by the FRS.A detailed report is prepared about the results that are obtained after the testing is done.
